GReD’s activities in the framework of the BRIGAID project were recently featured in the Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX: Monterosso, arrivano le sentinelle “anti-alluvione”.
GReD is about to deploy 8 GeoGuard GNSS stations for the monitoring of precipitable water vapor, 4 in Monterosso al Mare (Liguria, Italy), and 4 in the city of Rotterdam. Precipitable water vapor is an important atmospheric parameter, that can be used within weather forecast models to improve the prediction of heavy rain events.
